4 YEAR OLD PROGRAM
Four-Year-Old Curriculum builds on the skills learned in the Two-Year-Old and Three-Year-Old Programs to prepare your child for Kindergarten.

Reading Readiness
We will expose your child to letters (uppercase and lowercase), letter sounds, rhyming, and daily story time. We engage children through art, morning activities, word play, sounds, games, and daily exposure to books.
Math Concepts
Children will learn shapes, simple patterns, sequencing, counting to 20, numeral identification (0-12), graphing, comparison. They will have an introduction to calendars, as well as have plenty of opportunities to build their fine motor skills by drawing shapes and writing numbers.
Fine Motor
Children will strengthen their hand muscles through lacing activities, tweezers, play dough, hole punchers, coloring, drawing and a variety of writing tools. Daily activities using scissors and pencils further prepare them for the high demands of Kindergarten.

Music
Throughout each day, children will have an opportunity to practice singing, rhythm and gross motor skills (movement/dance). They will learn fun seasonal songs as well as old favorites. They will perform for their families in a Christmas Program in December and an End of Year Program in May.

Each week children will attend a parent-lead story time in the library and be allowed to check out books!
